TouchDesigner: Fender vs. Fender

I was able to borrow a RockBand Fender Stratocaster game controller and I really wanted to compare what it might play like in TouchDesigner compared to sound reactive elements from my actual Fender Stratocaster guitar feeding into my comptuer.

 

The goal of the experiment was to attempt to hook up the exact same visuals to the two different types of guitar style controllers to see how they looked, played, could be controlled and overall, which I liked playing with more.

 

Truth is, the sound reactive version with the actual Stratocaster guitar had a much more organic and consistent feel/look. I could possibly emulate it a little better on the RockBand game controller, but the fading sound levels of the electric guitar really just adds something less controlled and fluid feeling.
