TouchDesigner: Interactive Touch Screen

I've been wanting to make one of these for some time. It's a nylon screen with a Kinect sensor behind it using the Infrared settings to detect some pretty minor changes in depth. So when you push on the screen it triggers some fun feedback visuals and particles.

 

I know, I know, I know - everybody and their mom's first husbands are making these things, but I can totally see why. It's a perfect project. It's simple enough to work it out with a little bit of gumption, complex enough to be challenging and take some creative solutions, cheep enough to put together and really learn about materials in the process, and visually rewarding as all heck-fire!

 

I have added a TouchDesigner .tox project file below with lots and lots of notes, as was requested by another creative. It has material needs and all that in there. Feel free to play and improve on my sloppy work.
