TouchDesigner: Reaction Diffusion by Katz

My friend Adam Katz made a pretty sick tool for TouchDesigner that uses GLSL to create reaction diffusion and it's pretty cool. Here's his original post of the tool on the Touch Forum.

Adam's Touch Forum Post

He said I could play with it and I liked it a lot, then got super interested in exploring his user interface elements he created, which is something I've barely touched on. So, in my overzealous state,  I hijacked his tool and added a few things in order to explore working with creating user interfaces in Touch.

Thanks Adam. It's rad. Hope you don't mind me messing with it and posted it while you were sleeping soundly in  Australia!

UPDATE!

Adam just tossed a new .tox my way with ramped controls for the blur. So you can adjust the size of the diffusion based on a gradient! (see pic below). It's nice. I've updated the linked TouchDesigner .tox asset below.

A quick note on Adam Katz:

Adam has been an amazing peer while I've been learning TouchDesigner and interactivity in general. We went to undergrad film school together and would say a random hello every now and then over the years. We've both went our own ways in life, me doing the Chicago to Asheville to Ohio thing and him doing the Chicago to (mysterious blank spot in my knowledge of Adams life) to Australia thing.

When I started posting my interactive work he reached out to let me know he had been doing similar things (apparently for years now). Since that point we've communicated on a nearly daily basis, geeking out over each others work and things we run into over time. His critique, mentorship and friendship has been fantastic and I feel super grateful that we've reconnected in such a strong way.

I propose Adam (who I will force to read this) that we begin a loosely bound artistic collaboration and we name it The LowKat Collective. Mostly because I find the combination of our last names to sound pretty rad.
