Coloring the Underworld was a participatory museum activity that allowed visitors to more intimately engage with Ann McCoy's piece, The Underworld.
A full scale digital copy of the piece was desaturated of color, sectioned off, and printed out for visitors to color in with colored pencils. This activity mirrored the process the artist used to hand color the lithograph print.
Visitors could take their colored print home with them or hang it on a grid in the hall, adding to an evolving visitor created version of the Underworld.
