TouchDesigner: Interactive GLSL 01 - Blob Wormhole
I've been wanting to jump into GLSL Shaders for a while now but was worried it was too steep a learning curve to create daily interactive projects while learning it. But with 6 hours to kill before my flight the other day, I jumped at some tutorials and decided to learn by adapting Shadertoy Shaders for TouchDesigner and messing with the code to change and customize them.
This was the first go. I used a Simple Radial Blur Shader shown in a great set of tutorials online (links below), had some fun messing with variables in code and swapping textures and rainbow colors then added Blob Tracking from a previous project to make the center of the wormhole follow the green sticker stuck to the palm of my hand. (Which did keep falling off).
I'm super glad I jumped into GLSL. I've scraped away at its intimidating surface and look forward to learning more.
