The Cryptid Critter Crawl Outside the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh

The Cryptid Critter Crawl is a series of 8 outdoor sculptures accompanied by a mobile audio tour presenting the fictional story of a humorous Children’s Museum where artifacts of cryptids (Bigfoot, Loch Ness Moster, Mothman, etc.) are suddenly found on the museum grounds. The stories are themed around diversity, discrimination, and inclusivity.  The project is part of an effort to expand The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s outdoor footprint, creating safe and accessible art experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. It opened to the public on April 1st, 2021.
